The ES-355 TD-SV (Thin Line, Dual Pickup) was Gibson's top range, thin line, semi-acoustic guitar. It was manufactured from 1958 to 1982, and fitted with Veritone Stereo option (SV) in 1959. This particular guitar was owned and played by B.B King who was the best-known user of this model guitar. His trademark guitar "Lucille" was the basis for the 1981 signature model. 355s were fitted with either a Vibrato Tremolo unit or a Bigsby. Featured on this superb classic is a beautifuly crafted Bigsby. The headstock is inlaid with a split diamond, while the fretboard is graced with elegant mother-of-pearl. Subtle binding laces the edging, adding beautiful contrast to the deep toned maple, ebony, and mahogany. Lastly, this gem of a guitar has its metal hardware finished in 24 karat gold.
